ABOUT

Who I Am:

Creativity has been my touchstone, guiding me through life's challenges and transitions, and it is my mission to share its transformative power with others. I’m committed to creating safe and nurturing spaces where individuals can experience the therapeutic value of the creative and expressive arts. Whether you’re facing life’s challenges or celebrating its joys, I believe creative expression can be a powerful guide on the journey toward healing and self-discovery.

For many years, I struggled with panic attacks, unsure of how to navigate the overwhelming feelings in my body and mind. Everything changed when I turned to creativity—it became a healing balm that not only helped me understand myself but also provided the support I needed to get through times of struggle.

This transformative experience ignited my passion for the healing power of creative expression, leading me to pursue a master’s degree in Depth Psychology and Creativity at Pacifica Graduate Institute. Halfway through my program, I became a mother, and once again, creativity became my anchor, helping me navigate the profound transition into motherhood.

My desire to share the healing potential of creative expression inspired me to earn a certificate in Social Emotional Arts Facilitation through UCLA Arts and Healing. It also inspired me to start The Bella Arts Foundation, a non-profit that provides grants to organizations offering expressive and creative arts to survivors of trauma. After completing my master’s degree, I deepened my studies further at the Expressive Arts Institute, working toward becoming an Expressive Arts Therapist.

Artistic Background:

Professional vocalist and songwriter Alisha Kalisher has achieved many accolades and awards, performed on late-night television and award shows, with orchestras across the United States, and at some of LA’s most notable venues. She has written many songs for her own projects, as well as for film and television, in collaboration with her husband. Together, they created their project, The Sheen, as contributors to the Meta Music Initiative.

It is one of her greatest joys to continue writing and recording music, while also fostering her own daughter's love for music and creative expression.
